Undeva in luna mai va spuneam despre Skype Translator-StarTrek, Here We Come, mai exact despre cei de la Microsoft care au venit la <re/code>, conferinta care a avut  loc in Rancho Palos Verdes, cu Skype Translator. Tot atunci anuntau ca aplicatia va fi disponibila pana la sfarsitul anului (2014), cel putin pentru utilizatorii cu dispozitive care folosesc windows 8. Au facut si o demonstratie cu traducere simultana, in timp real, folosind Skype Translator, asta ca sa-i credem.

Pentru cei care inca nu stiu despre Skype Translator, aceasta practic se doreste a fi un tool integrat in cunoscuta aplicatie Skype, tool care va face traducere in timp real atat audio cat si text in cel putin 40 de limbi .

Skype Translator Preview

Mai au un pic, mai putin de 2 luni pana cand le expira deadline-ul celor de la Microsoft, nu de alta dar asa au promis, asa ca luni au lansat campanie Skype Translator Preview, prin care ne cer ajutorul:

“Help shape the future of Skype by using this fantastic new real-time speech translator.“

Astfel daca ai un PC, Laptop sau Tableta cu Windows 8.1 si vrei sa particip la dezvoltarea acestui proiect, te poti inregistra aici la Skype Translator Preview. Si daca nu iti este clar ce inseamna, iata:

“Skype Translator is a brand new feature from Skype and it’s still learning and improving the way it translates calls. As such, it’ll have a few rough edges but the more conversations it translates, the better it’ll get. The preview of Skype Translator will initially be available for Windows 8.1 computers and tablets only (when more devices are supported we’ll let you know). It will support a few languages at first.“

Daca chiar esti interesat si vrei sa participi la dezvoltarea noii aplicatii, trebuie sa te grabesti, asta pentru ca locurile sunt limitate. Mai mult decat atat, trebuie sa fi si “eligibil” pe deasupra, asta pentru a te bucura de noua aplicatie. Ce, nu ma credeti?…iata:

 “Simply answer a few questions and we’ll contact those eligible to download and start using the preview with their family and friends. There’s a limited number of preview spots available, so register today for a chance to use this exciting new feature when it’s released.“

Mai multe informatii gasiti si pe blogul celor de la Skype. Eu deja m-am inregistrat si astept sa vad daca sunt “eligibil”. Voi? inca nu!? Go plante to Skype Translator Preview.
